Cold Outreach: How to Get Cold Sales Right

One of the most important, and under-taught, business skills is sales: the art and science of convincing strangers to do what you want. 

Even if you don’t wish to go into sales, just pause for a moment and you’ll realize that many of your interactions with others could be considered sales:

• If you ask someone to mentor you, that’s sales.
• If you want your friends to come to dinner at a particular restaurant, that’s sales.
• If you want to get a new job, that’s sales.
